Toast the vermicelli

Add olive oil & butter.Once the butter has melted, add the  pasta noodles and toast for 3 to 5 minutes, or until golden brown. Stir frequently to prevent the vermicelli from sticking and/or burning.

Add rice

Stir to coat the rice evenly in the oil. Season with onion powder, salt, and cinnamon, if using.

Add chicken or vegetable broth, then screw on the Instant Pot lid and pressure cook on manual high pressure for 4 minutes. Check to make sure that the valve is in the "sealing" position.

Add broth & book

Release pressure, fluff & serve
