Red, White, and Blue Sangria is the perfect boozy cocktail to serve when celebrating the 4th of July, Memorial Day, or enjoying the warm weather on hot summer nights! Throw this easy white wine sangria together with just 15 minutes of prep time.
Slice the apples or pears into thin rounds. Then, cut out stars using a small star-shaped cookie cutter until you have about 1 cup of stars.
Add the star-shaped fruit and berries to a large pitcher.
Pour wine, blueberry vodka, lemonade, and blueberry simple syrup over top. Stir to combine.
Place in the refrigerator and allow to chill at least 30 minutes before serving. The longer the better, so the fruit can soak in all the flavors, up to 4 hours.
Serve chilled in glasses topped with any additional fruit and a splash of sparkling water.
Notes
The fruit will start to break down the longer it sits. Make the sangria no more than 4 hours ahead of serving.
You can use frozen fruit for a frostier beverage. However, the fruit will become very soft as it defrosts.
For the best taste, purchase a lemonade with as few preservatives as possible. Also look for minimal added sugar.
